AKDY Tempered Glass Shower Panel Az787392M Rain Style Massage System. Review

I bought the Akdy Tempered Glass Shower Panel to replace and older non-functioning stainless steel shower panel in our home and installed it last weekend. Good quality, easy install considering the water fitting in our home had already been modified but I will suggest that if you aren't a home handyman you consider finding a friend that is. A drill, screwdriver, adjustable wrench, and a level was all that I needed. My wife loves the multiple settings and especially the one with the panel only so that she can shower without getting her hair wet; I like the spa feeling in the shower before work.

It comes with limited instructions, a page on mounting; it would have been nice to have a suggested height. I mounted the bottom 32" off the floor. I'm 6'4" and my wife is over 5'8" and it's about right. The panel nozzles don't adjust much, shorter guys and gals might like it a little lower to avoid the top nozzles spraying right in the face. The shower head has plenty of adjustment, higher or lower won't matter. The water and room temperature digital meter works fine but I don't see any way to replace a battery other than taking the panel off the wall and taking the screws off the back. Again, no instructions so we'll just have to see how long it works.

Heavy faucet that installed as expected. Good instructions... The shower head is on a long arm and was designed to point almost straight down. It feels like a heavy rainfall, not a stinging myst. Seems to put out a lot of volume, which is not necessarily a good thing if you are trying to save water and energy. Wife really likes it, I think it could use less water. Easy enough to change the head if you dont like it.

It's best suited for flat material though. I tried using it on ribbed aluminum you would install on a pole barn with little success.
