Product Description

The Amprobe ULD-300 ultrasonic leak detector senses pressurized leaking gas, detects electrical arcing around switches and electrical panels, and finds failing solenoids, valves, and bearings in electrical automotive, and heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning (HVAC) maintenance applications. Pressurized gas leaks, electrical arcing, and failing solenoids, valves, or bearings emit ultrasonic frequencies, which the leak detector's ultrasonic sensor converts to an audible range that can be heard through the included headset. The Amprobe ULD-300 leak detector detects any pressurized gas leaks, including chlorofluorocarbon (CFCs), hydrofluorocarbon (HFCs), nitrogen (N), carbon dioxide (CO2), and steam. The presence of wind or airborne contaminants, such as refrigerants, does not affect its operation. The included parabola horn attaches to the probe to amplify the detected signal, allowing measurements to be taken at a distance and improving leak detection in noisy areas. An extension tube provides additional reach for access to remote leaks. A display panel with ten light-emitting diodes (LEDs) indicates when the sensor is close to the source of the leak. A low-battery indicator signals when the meter's batteries need to be replaced. The Amprobe ULD-300 comes with a hard plastic carrying case that helps protect the leak detector from damage during transportation and storage.

Dirt cheap for an ultrasonic air leak detector but I needed it to find compressed air leaks in a very noisy manufacturing environment. It picked up a lot of other noise like shop fans, etc. and I got a lot of reflection off of hard surfaces so it was hard to pinpoint even a very large leak. For the price, it can't be beat. I bought a MUCH more expensive unit to meet my needs.

This faucet looks beautiful in our remodeled kitchen, but I likely wouldn't buy it again - here's why:
1) Because of the way our pipes are aligned under the sink, the pull-out hose weight needs to be in a position which makes the hose rather short or else the weight will get hung up on the pipes and not allow the faucet head to fully retract.
2) Regular use and movement of the pull out faucet causes the faucet head to loosen over time, and has to be re-tightened by occasionally - not a big deal, but have had a few little water unwanted water sprays from the loose connection.
I have seen an ad (Delta, maybe?) for a similar-looking faucet that that has a magnetized faucet head to make sure the pull-out faucet retracts securely back in place. I would look for that feature if I had to buy a faucet all over again.

As a mechanical engineer, I was looking for a measuring instrument that could assess drainage patterns, for a builing site. Roughly I was looking for 2% precision in measurement of distance, angle and elevation. I did not need the precision needed to prepare legal property descriptions, which I consider the realm of land surveyors. For mechanical-engineering purposes, I only needed to estimate drainage flow rates, to determine the size of drainage pipes necessary.

I was very satisfied with the CST/Berger 54-200BN transit level. The benchmark measurements I made showed that it agrees within 1% of tape measurements for stadia distance, and is well within 1% for typical angle measurements that I am likely to make. It serves my purposes well, and it only costs a fraction of "total-station" instruments, which may be better suited for land surveyors.

Unlike more expensive products, the CST/Berger 54-200BN provides only a measurement. For engineering calculations, you are on your own. I needed to consult a Surveying textbook to code the necessary calculations into an electronic worksheet. I think such a skill is within the capability of many mechanical engineers. This effort required about one week of work, but allows me to transcribe simple transit measurements from a field book into a worksheet. From there I get the calculations necessary for reliable contour plots.

Love the size and features of this sink. It was small enough to fit into my existing laundry room base cabinet, but large enough and especially deep enough to wash cleats and other soiled items without getting splashed by the water that comes off of them. It comes with a soaking basin and a drying rack that fit inside and these are AWESOME features. And, I am quite pleased that it came in the Kohler bisquit finish to match the other sinks in my house. Can't say enough good things about this product - I'd definitely buy it again!!

It never fails to amaze me how some engineer or marketing "professional" can muck up a good product. This is a damn good saw. It easily holds its own against any Stihl, but . . .

The provided snap connector to the water line on the saw is some bastard fitting that not even the supplier of the saw carried. (Found this out after taking delivery.) I'm sorry, but: "Umm . . . we can order one." just does not cut it. Criminy-sakes . . . this is a simple feed line for water! Why in the world would you install some damn special fitting when you are going to hook it up to a garden hose? Wouldn't you think the marketing people or engineer would insist upon a standard GARDEN HOSE fitting?

I cut off the bastard fitting and installed a standard hose fitting from the hardware store with a hose clamp -- works great!

Now that I have the fitting problem solved, I have a pissy little plastic valve on the saw to control the water flow. It is an absolute piece of crap that squirts water everywhere. Throw it away and just use a standard garden hose ball valve on the end of your garden hose. These are cheap and available in any hardware or garden supply store.

Is garden hose technology really beyond the comprehension of the Husqvarna engineers? So much education -- so little wisdom. I should NOT have to make these modifications just to use the saw.

Iron-A-Way A421AU A-42 Ironing Center with Swivel Board, Birch Review

I purchased this unit locally and had it installed while building our new home a little over a year ago. I iron frequently so was excited to have this center placed in the utility room where it would be conveniently used, though you might also place it in a large, walk-in closet. It is an attractive, well-built unit and outfitted with a spot light on a one-hour timer (so you can keep track of the hours you spend ironing), an aluminum lined area to store an iron, an outlet and cord retainer, a clothes hook, and an adjustable-height, swivel, ironing board with pad and cover. The door is on a piano hinge, which holds it firmly, and it swings easily. With mine, we painted the exterior areas to match our door trim. It looks very nice and performs well.

My only complaint would be about the size of the ironing board. I iron a lot of my husband's work shirts and pants and I confess that I miss the space afforded with the full-size board I used to use. But, I've learned how to place the clothes to iron them most efficiently and traded the board space for the aggravation of lugging it around and the closet space required to store it when not in use.

Besides the overall convenience, my most-favorite features of this ironing center are that it has two heights to choose from and that it swivels 90 degrees right or left. I'm glad that we had it professionally installed as the electrical hookup was required and I feel comfortable that it is anchored well. I use it very often, not only to iron, but to hang clothes on the door hook as I remove them from the dryer. It's a bit of an upfront expense, but if it's something you are considering, I would recommend it.
