I was a little scared to buy a dust collector that is a quarter of the delta price, and still half the price of the next chinese made model. I have had it running for a few weeks and am so far pleased with its performance. It is not any louder than my previous chinese model (not really any louder than any other model I have been around either.) My only concern is that it is a plastic impeller. It seems like a sturdy type of plastic, but it is plastic just the same, and if it brakes, I'm sure the thing is worthless (I haven't looked into replacements, but I would be surprised if they were easy to come by.) Really, for the price, I'm hoping it gets me 3-5 years before I start having impeller issues (and the recession is hopefully over.) Maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised.
