When my wife and I purchased our cottage home after we got married, it came with a dated clamshell sink that was difficult to clean. Well, after ELEVEN YEARS of living with that sink, we took the plunge and replaced it with this Kohler pedestal sink. It was money well spent. We got a Pottery Barn "hot" and "cold" metal faucet to go with it and had a plumber install it all for less than 300 smackers (it took him about 3.5 hours). Easy to clean, beautiful and provides a lot of sink-top real estate. (Note: the product I ordered came with the K-2358-8 lavatory and K-2357 pedestal. They come shipped in separate boxes. Some sink tops and pedestals are sold separately on the amazon.com site, so FYI, read the specifics before buying.)
