American Standard 2794.204.020 Studio Concealed Trapway Dual Flush Right Height Elongated Toilet, White Review

Used this toliet in my new master bath. It looks great with clean lines and a modern look. It was easy enough to install. There some good things about it and some bad things;

Pros;
- Looks great, very modern
- Flushes well. Never had a clog in over a year of use
- Dual flush mode is nice
- Soft close lid is great
- Elongated bowl and "right height" is a winner

Cons;
- You have to hold down the flush buttons for a few seconds to get a full flush. If you just press and release the buttons you only get a small release of water.
- They did cut corners on the materials. Flush buttons on the top of the tank and most of the internals are cheap plastic, not metal. The flush button and internals both came damaged on mine (American Standard did replace them free of charge but it did take them sending a lot of wrong parts and over a month and a half of waiting).
- Toliet seat lid is plastic and after 6 months of light use it cracked. This was not covered under warranty and cost $90 for a complete seat and lid combination (they don't sell them individually)
- This is a bit gross, but you usually have to flush twice to "clean" the sides of the bowl.

Overall I would have a hard time recommending this toliet. It looks great and has flush power, but its cheap materials, flush mechanism, warranty, and double flush to get clean really drag down its rating.
