Great product! Those reviews that claim this thing is loud must have a defective unit, mine makes less noise than my keurig coffee maker. Installation was not bad for the DIYer. I purchased the valve kit that really helped with the install and looked nice and clean when finished. Ducting with 3" PVC was quick and easy. Takes up so much less space than a traditional water heater.

One very important thing to note. You MUST have a 3/4" (or larger) gas line (for the non electric models). I was not aware of this when I purchased and had to replace the gas line coming into my house from our propane tank as it was only 1/2".

Check your attic first for ventilation. I purchased the concentric duct kit only to find that I could not use it. They claim this heater cannot share a duct and was not about to make a roof penetration through clay tile for this. I ran the 3" PVC out the side of my house. Also there is a condensation drain line that connects and must have a place to drain.

Overall a great product. We ran the dishwasher while my wife washed dished by hand at the sink and I took a shower at the same time and had ample hot water. The default limit is 120 degrees to protect against scalding but the temp can be set as high as 140F.

Install time for a novice plumber/DIYer was about 8 hours.
