D/UV-F KBD Sperti Fluorescent Table Top Lamp Review

It seems a bit pricey, but it's the only lamp I've found that can really produce the amount of vitamin D a person needs with very reasonable session times. I like the fact that Dr. Holick (who wrote The UV Advantage and is a well-known vitamin D researcher) was involved in the lamp's development and recommends it. It's not fancy, but it works the way it's supposed to. The timer, although mechanical, is pretty accurate. The bulbs don't put out much heat (unlike like a tanning bed), and they're fluorescents, rather than the old style mercury type. The maximum recommended time of exposure is five minutes. For me, that amount of time begins to produce a very faint tingling feeling, so to be on the safe side, I stay below that for each particular exposure area (and always make sure I'm at least 15 inches away from the bulbs, per the instructions). After 6 months, using it several times per week, I have absolutely no tanning, but I do have good vitamin D levels. I usually put the lamp on a table, expose the front and then the back of my upper body, then put it on the floor and expose the fronts and backs of my legs. Be sure to wear the goggles to prevent eye damage!

Having owned a CA-300 for only a day, I am so glad that I went for this model over any of the much less expensive offerings that do not include the image capture feature.

Summary of thoughts:
- LED lights and camera provide a stunning 640 x 480 image when captured to the SD-card and played back on a PC; I'd rate the photos this thing captures as 10 out of 10 and higher than my greatest expectations. Viewing images captured showed important subtle details that were very useful that simply can not be seen using the built-in display
- The built-in 320x240 display sounds useful, however when you are working on a ladder or in cramped quarters (not too unlikely when using a device like this) the tiny display cannot compare to the clarity and shadow details of the captured images. Compared with the recorded images, I'd rate the display as a 6 out of 10
- Ridgid should change the photo capture to record the JPG image in the same orientation that is currently set by the "rotate image" button (90 degree rotation each turn)
- I would much prefer a AA battery model over the Li-ion rechargeable included with this model (the CA-100 uses AA batteries); I plan on keeping this thing for years, but will not really get it out and use it very often

As a homeowner, I've been on the sidelines watching inspection camera offerings for years and finally bit the bullet. In owning it one day now, it has already helped me quite a bit in analyzing an upstairs plumbing problem that is causing wet sheetrock below.

Like some others that have posted reviews to Amazon (thanks all!), I am one of the people who will only take the time for a review if what I purchased is either really great or really terrible. And in this case, the CA-300 is really great.

This SentrySafe SFW123FUL comes equipped only with a digital keypad - it does not have a manual key backup option.

The safe is a good size to store the average family's important documents and small valuables. The safe is opened via a digital keypad that uses 4 AAA batteries. The batteries also power 2 white LEDs on the inside of the door. The LEDs are not completely adequate to shuffle through the safe contents in a dark room, but they do help.

The inside of the safe is made of hard plastic with 1 shelf an 1 tray which can be raised on lowered by inserting them into the appropriate wall slots. The inside of the safe is 12" D x 12" W x 13.5" H. It is large enough to store file folders, jewelry boxes, etc. There is also a small open storage compartment in the door that can accommodate small documents (passports) or valuables.

There is an option to bolt down the safe - which I feel should be the de-facto standard. Even though the safe is close to 90 lbs, it is not difficult for professionals to steal. Bolting down severely decreases the likelihood of theft. However, bolting down removes water resistance. This is a con for the safe as there are many options to ensure water seals for bolted down safes.

Lastly, the lack of a backup key and the ability to reset (remove/program over) the factory set code really makes this a less desirable safe. I have to register my safe with SentrySafe for the warranty. It might be a long shot, but someone could access my registration and have the master key code to my safe along with my home address. Not cool!

This base from dreamline came quick with prime shipping in excellent condition.

Was easy to use the flanges for tiling up the wall purposes and feels sturdy and doesn't flex very much when standing inside.
No leaks so far and a great value.

This is a great combo(pump and basin), the tree system is great, you dont have to open the whole cover to change out the float with the secondary cover. When I tested the pump I filled up water and it took like 2 second to pump all the water out. It was fast and powerful. The quality of this basin is heavy duty and well built. I wish they included the check valve with the system.

Blanco 513-410 Precis Super Single Bowl Kitchen Sink, Biscuit Finish Review

This is just a great thing...one of our favorite parts of our recently remodeled kitchen. It has a very subtle appearance to it, which is what we wanted. The finish is flat, not shiny, and the sink itself is very rugged. We have already accidentally tested its worth by dropping heavy things into it, and even setting a spaghetti pot into it right off the stove. It handles everything beautifully.

The only thing that seems to affect it is tomato-based products, but a quick scrub with a bleach-based cleaner like Soft Scrub takes it right off.

We debated whether to get a double sink or a single large one, and our instincts in going with this one were absolutely correct. It holds everything and then some.

We hope not to do another kitchen remodel in the near future, but if we did, we would not hesitate to use a granite sink from Blanco again.

This curved planer was perfect for the custom wood benches I was making from monkeypod logs and slabs. It made short work of normal board grain and powered through the end grain cuts time and again with steady pressure.I must have made at least 35-40+ end grain cuts on a piece 15"x15" no sap wood ! This was repeated 8 times total !! This tool saved Me enough hours to pay for it and gave me a nice graceful curve...It will take a little practice and you better be willing to turn the foot knob up and down as you cut, as THIS AFFECTS THE RADIUS OF YOUR ANGLE CUT..at smallest curve possible.. Total depth of wood cut for my project was about 21" 15" was end grain, full 21" depth/ht cut in one pass some short, others full length, as stock was needed to be removed for the shape. I'm very pleased with this tool....Do wish the carbide blades were cheaper! Aloha Craig.
