Flexible and Convenient Jobsite Performance
Fast, powerful, and versatile, this DEWALT DCD775KL 1/2-inch 18-volt cordless compact lithium-ion hammer-drill kit is a must-have for any job site or professional shop. Offering 17 clutch settings and an LED work light for improved visibility in tight spaces or low-light conditions, this hammer-drill has a user-friendly design that keeps things simple so you can get the job done right the first time. It also offers the convenience of a dual-speed range of 0-to-500 or 0-to-1,700 revolutions-per-minute and 0-to-8,500 or 0-to-29,000 blows-per-minute that lets you match the speed to the task at hand for optimal performance. Additionally, make the DEWALT DC527 18-volt fluorescent area light the first light you reach for in the dark. The 13-watt fluorescent bulb lights up a work area for hours on a single charge without getting warm, and the "twist-and-lock" lens cover allows efficient and simple bulb changes.
Lightweight, Compact Design for Tight Spaces
Weighing in at just 4.1 pounds, the DCD775KL lets you work all day without putting excessive strain on wrists and hands, which helps with productivity. Its compact size also makes it easy for you to drill in tight spaces like under sinks, in corners, and in closets. The DC527 fluorescent area light is light weight with a stable base, and easy to hang from its pull-out hook. It can be powered with one of the two included compact lithium-ion 18-volt batteries, or with a slightly larger DEWALT NiCad 18-volt battery (sold separately). Because the DC527 area light can accommodate both battery types, when using the smaller, compact lithium-ion 18-volt battery, the light s base will partially extend over the battery, but will not sacrifice performance.
Lithium-Ion Batteries for Long-Lasting, Quick-Charging Performance
The DCD775KL-F is powered by two compact lithium-ion batteries that are compatible with the existing system of DEWALT 18-volt power tools produced since 1996. These batteries weigh less than NiCad batteries and are long lasting so you can minimize downtime. With the 30-minute charger included in the kit, you should always have the power you need to complete the job at hand.

DEWALT DCD775KL-F 18-Volt Lithium-Ion Hammer-Drill and Area Light Combo Kit Review
I had a 18V Dewalt XRP Nicad drill and it was getting a bit old. I had been using it less and less since I sold my house (thank you housing crash!) and move into a rental. Each time I took it out to do the mostly minor projects that I do now, it seemed to be just getting bigger and heavier each time. So I finally pulled the trigger and went with the Lithium battery style and opted for this one as it has a smaller body then my last Dewalt. I'm happy with the change. This one gets it done just was well and it is lighter and easier to hold!!! The clutch seems easier to change then my old one and it is nice to see that it still has a metal chuck! The little LED light comes in handy, even more so then I originally thought. When I first started to see these little lights show up on drills as I would look at drills as I would walk through the tools sections at the box stores, I just thought they were gimmicks added to the drills so it would look like something "new." But, as it turns out, it actually does serve a purpose. The other nice improvement is the lithium battery, if you have not charged it in a while and you pick up the drill, it is ready to go. It does not lose a charge when it sits idle like my old Dewalt Nicad did! Nice!!Most of the consumer Reviews tell that the "DEWALT DCD775KL-F 18-Volt Lithium-Ion Hammer-Drill and Area Light Combo Kit" are high quality item.
