Bought this because I wanted the modern low profile look in my guest bath remodel. But I was concerned that the low tank might reduce the overall flushing power. Not so. Although it only uses 1.28 gallons per flush, it's a more efficient, more powerful, and more thorough flusher than the old 7 gallon flusher it replaced. Absolutely no double flushes with this stool. It is extremely well engineered and quite attractive as well. It also fills up very quickly (about 20 secs) and is reasonably quite. I am extremely pleased and will purchase another when the time comes. In truth, I made the initial mistake of trying to replace the original 7 gallon flusher with a cheapo I purchased at one of those national home improvement stores. Looked great, on sale, I was sold. Installed it and discovered that you really do get what you pay for in low flow toilets. The cheapo often needed 2-3 flushes to clear solid waste and even clogged up with too much paper. Not good for a guest bath. So after several months of frustration, I finally bit the bullet and bought the more expensive Toto after asking around a couple of real plumbing stores. The difference was instant and amazing. I've had it now for nearly 6 months and not one double flush, not one clogged bowl. It not only works better than the cheapo low flow, it actually works far better than the old 7 gallon. I simply couldn't believe it. I was one of those who honestly thought low flow toilets were pointless since you often have to flush it 2 or 3 times. Not with this model. Toto really does make a superior machine. It's not just the flushing structures in the tank that matters, it's actually the engineering of the bowl and outlet pipes that makes the real difference. I will never again think a low flow toilet is inferior to the old full flushers. It really is all in the engineering.

UPDATE: I must admit that if this toilet has a weak spot, it is the flapper loop that connects to the pull chain. A guest, flushing too hard, ripped the metal chain out of the rubber eyelet at the top of the flapper. I was able to fix it by poking a new hole below the ripped loop, in a thicker part of the rubber, and reinserting the chain. It seems to work just fine now. But I did buy a back-up flapper just in case.
