To be clear, there is a white light, and there is an IR light. The IR light IS NOT AN AIMING DEVICE. YOU CANNOT USE THIS ITEM TO AIM YOUR FIREARM. I personally bought this product with the expectation that it housed an IR aiming device. However, since I like the lights, I'm going to keep this item despite the fact that it isn't everything that I thought it would be.
