This is my first review on Amazon. I've read and appreciate so many that I thought it's time to do my part....

I bought this dust collector without the support of other reviews, which made me nervous. I bought it based on the specs that were posted in the description. It's gotten a lot of use in a short period of time and I have to say it works very very well. There are some down sides to it thus the 4 stars.

I do not have experience with any other dust collectors so take my feedback in context.

PROS

1) Works very well. (I use it on one machine at a time, with only a 10' flexible house between it and the machine.)

2) Price

3) Noise I'd say is very reasonable.

4) The filter bag it comes with goes down to 5 microns... no one else seemed to have that in a portable unit.

CONS

1) Packaging, the way this product is packaged for shipping is definitely insane. By the time I got to the unit I had removed 3 boxes, plus packing material and it all looked like hell. I thought for sure it was destroyed. But there was absolutly no damage.

2) The wheels it comes with are a joke. But then, I didn't buy it for the wheels.

3) Documentation was pretty much worthless. (Do you need good documenatation on a dust collector???)

SUMMARY

If you can deal with poor packaging, and plan to come up with your own wheels/cart/or mounting. If you plan to use it on one piece of equipment at a time with a 10 foot hose. This is a great unit for the price and I'd recommend it.
