just added one of these to our industrial warehouse security system this week.
setup via the software we use (Blue Iris) went smoothly, the camera is storing
video to both a Win7 server and a QNAP NAS box.
we have other vivotek cams on the exterior of the buildings
and they have surprised us with their carefree durability.
in the camera world, you have to expect repairs and replacements
for a part of the assets as they work and age.
it just happens.
the outside ones are good for maybe 30m with just the IR illuminators
so adding other sources of light after dusk helps the range.
this one, set in warehouse work area, uses ambient light from exit
signs, some 24/7 equipment lights etc to capture a very high degree
of video when the main ceiling lights are turned off.
i'm very satisfied.
